Introduction
The Australian Cooperative Entry Program (ACEP) is a scholarship selection
and entry test that identifies the highest achieving students within a group
of high achievers.
2008 Test Dates
Saturday the 9th of February 2008 for South Australian Schools
Saturday the 29th of March 2008 for Western Australian Schools
The test provides reliable information on performance across a range of achievement factors focused on three criteria:
* Reading and Viewing
* Written Expression
* Mathematics
This makes ACEP ideal for scholarship selection testing.
ACEP is administered by ACER, which provides both online and pen and paper registration forms, test materials and test results to schools.
Each school is provided with a list of candidates in alphabetical and merit order.
On receipt of ACEP results schools select and make offers to registered candidates according to the school's own criteria. ACER does NOT make offers of scholarships or placements on a school's behalf.
In summary, ACEP:
* allows schools to select the best students for the award of scholarships
* allows students to apply for scholarships at participating schools of their
choice
* provides schools with clear indicators of student achievement
