Evaluation Service for Effective Schools (ESEF)
Introduction
ACER’s Evaluation Service for Effective schools (ESEF) provides schools with the analysis of their performance data and school improvement processes to more effectively deliver quality student outcomes. The service is available to primary and secondary schools, examining data for years 3-10.
ESEF assists schools through:
- Examining a school’s current assessment processes and analysis needs
- Determining specific assessment tools and services to improve the assessment process
- Analysing and interpreting relevant student assessment data to provide reports on achievement compared with ability, and measuring data over time
- Identifying linkages to research and professional development to support school leaders and other staff in their assessment analysis needs
- Consultations that pinpoint structural reform and program implementation to more effectively deliver quality student outcomes.
ESEF is supported by the comprehensive range of assessment services and products that ACER has developed from its extensive research.
These products and services include:
- Assessment tests and surveys
- Centre for Professional Learning workshops
- ACER Press range of ‘off-the-shelf’ tests and consultancy
