Join Dr Rhonda Farkota for an informative and practical overview and discussion of teacher-directed programs Elementary Math Mastery (EMM) and Junior Elementary Math Mastery (JEMM).

Learn how these programs can help all students particularly those who:

• Have not reached the required numeracy levels for their age
• Have low motivation to learn or low self-efficacy
• Are classified as at-risk learners
• Have difficulty concentrating, and would benefit from repeated structured teaching and practice.

About the Presenter

Dr Rhonda Farkota is a Senior Research Fellow at the Australian Council for Educational Research and a specialist in Direct Instruction. An experienced teacher and curriculum adviser, Dr Farkota has directed a wide variety of projects at international, national, state and system levels. In 2008 she was seconded for a term as Assistant Director of the National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN™).
