The Higher Ability Selection Test (HAST)
Reporting & Analysis
The structure of the school report depends upon the range of tests chosen by the school.
The multiple choice questions and non-verbal items are machine scored. The writing tasks are hand scored by two markers with third discrepancy marking if there is a difference of more than two grades between the initial markers.
The school report lists students both alphabetically and in order of merit. The report details the students' raw and standardised scores for each of the sub-tests.
Each student receives a total standardised score.
The report also contains a summary of the group's raw scores as well as an easy
to read score frequency summary.
Individual student reports are also available at the request of the school.
