International Benchmark Tests (IBT)
Reports
IBT provides high quality feedback to both schools and students. The incorporation of standardised scores enables students' performance to be compared from year to year, even though different tests are provided at each year level.
Sample Reports
Individual Report
This sample report is provided to every student who sits the IBT. It is provided at every year level for all 3 subjects – English, Maths and Science. Each report provides:
- a descriptor of every question and also an indication of whether the student has answered it correctly or incorrectly
- the student’s responses
- the correct responses
- the total number of questions answered correctly by the student
- a breakdown of questions answered correctly by strand
- the percentage of questions answered correctly by strand
- a comparison against all participating students
- the percentile rank of the student when compared to the performance of other students at the same nominated year level from the same school
- the percentile rank of the student when compared to the performance of other students at the same nominated year level from the same country
- the percentile rank of the student when compared to the performance of other students at the same nominated year level from other participating countries

Group report
The IBT group report is provided for every class. Every report includes:
- a descriptor of every test question including the strand
- the total number of correct responses to each question
- the percentage correct to each question
- the percentage correct to each question from all participating students in the relevant country
- the correct response to each question
- each student's response to every question
- each student's total raw score
- each student's scaled score
- the percentile ranking of each student within the school
- the percentile ranking of each student against all participating students in the relevant country
- the percentile ranking of each student against all participating students in all countries
The group report provides this information in three different formats
- Format A Test Results Arranged by Question Number
- Format B Test Results Arranged by Strand
- Format C Test Results Arranged by Strand and then in Order of Question Difficulty
School Report (TIMMS)- Science
This sample report enables a school to compare the performance of their students to countries who participated in the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS). This style of report is provided to schools for years 4, 5, 7 and 8 IBT Maths and years 4, 5 and 7 IBT Science.
Individual Report (TIMMS) - Science
This sample report enables a student to compare their performance against students from countries who participated in the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS). This style of report is provided to students who complete either a year 4, 5, 7 or 8 IBT Maths and a year 4, 5 or 7 IBT Science.
