Higher Ability Award Test
Introduction
The Higher Ability Award Test is designed to identify the very able students. The questions in the Higher Ability Award Test have been designed to assess innate ability rather than learned knowledge. They are not curriculum dependent. The questions in the Higher Ability Award test are very challenging as they are designed to distinguish very finely at the top end.
Schools
The Higher Ability Award Test (HAAT) is available to individual schools.
In particular the test is very useful for schools who are interested in a screening process that would assist them in identifying students for participation in gifted and talented programs.
The tests draw upon ACER's extensive experience in high stakes testing for schools.
If a school is interested in using HAAT as part of their selection process or to identify very able and gifted students they simply contact ACER India Office.
HAAT is undertaken at a date convenient to the school.
