Indigenous Education

Statement of Commitment

ACER is committed to improving learning across the life span and has identified the improvement of outcomes for Indigenous learners as an organisational priority. ACER recognises the importance of respecting Indigenous peoples and their cultures in its work in Indigenous education. ACER understands that this is an important part of developing a culturally conscious workplace for its employees.

Our research findings have informed policy and program development federally and in all states and territories. Our research has also helped inform teaching practice and school leadership, and the work of health practitioners. ACER is committed to strengthening the evidence base we have developed and to building our partnerships and collaborations with Indigenous researchers, educators and organisations to improve outcomes for Indigenous learners.
