Australia-Indonesia Basic Education Program: Policy Verification Case Study
On behalf of the Research and Development office of the Indonesian Ministry of National Education and AIBEP's Contractor Strategic Advisory Services, ACER is managing a study that aims to evaluate the impact of the teacher certification policy recently implemented by the Government of Indonesia. The study will identify school level practices for capturing benefits promised by teacher certification and professional development, and sampling will allow for emphasis on schools in poor areas. ACER has sub-contracted a local Indonesian company, Regional Economic Development Institute (REDI) to conduct the field work component of the project. ACER will oversee this work and attend over half of the visits.
