International Schools' Assessment
Costs
Schools will be charged participation fees as well as the cost of returning materials to ACER by courier and optional reporting costs.
Invoices for ISA 2008–9 will be sent to schools in:
- February 2009 (October administration)
- June 2009 (February Administration)
Fees for Participation ISA 2008–9
Fees will be calculated in one of the following ways depending on the number of students that participate in the assessment.
- A flat rate of AUD750.00 is charged to those schools where 20 or fewer students participate
- A rate of AUD37.50 per student is charged to those schools where more than 20 students participate
- A 5% discount off total participation fees is offered to those schools where more than 500 students participate
The cost applies to any student who completes all or part of the ISA assessment. These fees include:
- The test materials
- The delivery of test materials by courier to your school
- The marking of the test booklets by our professional team of markers
- The analysis of student results
- The generation of reports
- The online delivery of individual student, class and school reports
Schools will also be charged AUD7.50 for the confirmed number of students who do not participate or are absent for all parts of the ISA at each grade level e.g. if a school orders booklets for 35 Grade 5 students and only 30 students complete all or part of the test, the school will be charged 30 x AUD 37.50 plus 5 x AUD 7.50 (the latter to cover the cost of printing, outwards courier and handling of the unused booklets).
Fees for Cancelled Registrations
Schools that register and do not participate will be charged AUD7.50 per student plus any freight costs unless notice of withdrawal is received prior to:
- August 27 (October administration)
- December 7 (February administration)
Fees for the return of materials to ACER
ACER will cover all costs associated with the delivery of test materials to schools. Schools are responsible for the courier costs associated with the return of test materials to ACER. ACER will initially cover all courier costs associated with the return of test materials to ACER ONLY where schools use the consignment note provided; ACER will then invoice schools for the courier costs associated with the return of test materials to ACER. We offer this arrangement so that schools can take advantage of the discount available to ACER from the courier provider.
Fees for Customised Reporting
Customised reports are available upon request at additional cost (approximately AUD350.00 per report). Please contact isa@acer.edu.au if you have any special reporting requests.
Fees for Optional and Additional Reports
Schools have the option of purchasing the Standard Reports CD and/or the Interactive Report.
Standard Reports CD
Schools may purchase their standard report results on CD. Schools will be charged AUD100.00 (includes delivery costs) for the purchase of this CD. Please note that the reports on this CD will be the same as those delivered online.
Interactive Report
Schools may purchase an Interactive Report which is delivered online. The cost of the Interactive Report is AUD1,200.00 if ordered by the following dates:
15 January 2009 (ISA October 2008 Schools)
30 April 2009 (ISA February 2009 Schools)
A late ordering fee of AUD200.00 applies for orders received after the above dates. A CD copy can also be purchased for AUD100.00 inclusive of delivery costs. Read more and download a demonstration of the Interactive Report.
