Read Before registering for ISAT - Payment/Refunds

ACER uses a security carrier for its online payment functions to act as its interface with the banking system. Credit card and accompanying personal details are not recorded or stored by ACER but are encrypted at point of capture and transmitted directly to the bank. Thus you can be assured this is a safe payment method.

What if I don’t have a credit card and cannot get access to one?

You can still apply to sit for ISAT, and on the payment page, choose “AUD bank draft/cheque”. This will mean that your registration is ‘pending’ until payment is received. To send payment:
1. print out a copy of the confirmation of pending registration email;
2. purchase a bank draft in $AUD, payable on a bank which has branches in Australia (The bank draft/cheque should be made payable to ACER- ISAT.);
3. EITHER
i) take a copy of the receipt of pending registration email and the bank draft to the test centre at least two weeks ahead of the test. The test centre will send your payment to ACER and your registration will be confirmed by email to you.
OR
ii) if you are overseas, send the copy of the receipt of pending registration email and the bank draft by COURIER to ACER yourself. Make sure that it will arrive in Australia two weeks before your nominated test date. Do not use the postal system. Ensure you keep a reference number for your consignment or postal item, ACER cannot take responsibility for bank drafts lost in the courier system.
iii) if you are in Australia, you should use the postal system to post the cheque/bank draft to ACER. Australia Post is quite reliable, but you should be aware that articles do sometimes go missing in the mail. ACER is not responsible if your cheque/bank draft is not received by our office. If you use Express Post or Registered Post there is a record of the postal transaction.

Once your bank draft has been received your registration will be confirmed by email to you. If you have not received a 'confirmation of registration' email two weeks before your selected test date please contact the ISAT office immediately at isat@acer.edu.au.

Note: Your bank draft must be received at the test centre or ACER at least two weeks before the selected test date or you will not be permitted to sit on that test date.

Refund policy

ISAT fees will be refunded on request up to the registration deadline of two weeks prior to the test. The administrative charge for this is $60 of the registration fee.

No refunds will be made for the cancellation of registrations which occur after the registration deadline.
