Over 200 Australian journals comprehensively indexed and more than 500 Australian and international journals are scanned for relevant articles. View the list of core journals indexed. And view the list of core conferences indexed. Books, conference proceedings and papers, research and technical reports, theses and legislation are also indexed.
All entries are assigned subject headings from the Australian Thesaurus of Education Descriptors. The third edition (2003) in print is now available from ACER Press. A search version is now available from ACER Library web site.
Submitting documents for indexing
Items for indexing can be submitted to Cunningham Library, ACER at any time. The index aims to include all information published about Australian education. Submit a Document.
Document Delivery
Most items indexed (except for theses) for the AEI are held by Cunningham Library and are available for loan or photocopy through your library's interlibrary loans/document delivery service. Photocopies of articles can be obtained through Cunningham Library's Document Supply service.
International ERIC (Dialog OnDisc)
The AEI is available with the British Education Index as International ERIC. Enquiries about International ERIC should be directed to The Dialog Corporation, http://www.dialog.com/
Informit Online
The Australian Education Index and also A+ Education are available on the web via Informit Online. The databases are updated monthly. A+ Education is based on ACER's Australian Education Index (AEI). There are over 245 comprehensively or selectively indexed journals for which the full text articles are available. In total, there are links to over 28,000 full text documents such as reports, conference papers and journals from the database. For subscription information see the Informit website.
Transmission Books (Taiwan)
