British Education Thesaurus
The thesaurus is used to index and search for information in the British Education Index. The range of subjects include aspects of educational policy and administration, evaluation and assessment, technology and special educational needs.

Canadian Literacy Thesaurus/Thésaurus canadien d'alphabétisation
The thesaurus contains terms which describe literacy both as a field of knowledge and as an application. The areas covered include: literacy assessment, literacy instruction and tutoring, literacy programming, literacy research, and literacy theory. The additional fields of adult education and training are also covered. A large number of terms describe the psychological, social, and economic characteristics of people involved with literacy. Terms from related fields are also included, such as: education, linguistics, psychology, sociology and social work. Both alphabetical and keyword searches are supported on the online site.

ERIC
The Thesaurus of ERIC Descriptors is a controlled vocabulary - a carefully selected list of education-related words and phrases assigned to ERIC records to organize them by subject and make them easier to retrieve through a search. Searching by Descriptors involves selecting relevant terms from this controlled vocabulary to locate information on your topic.

European Education Thesaurus
The European Education Thesaurus (EET) is a controlled vocabulary intended to facilitate the recording of and search for information in databases on education in Europe. The EET is the common language of those who use and administer national and international education information resource systems in and beyond the European Union.

Schools Online Thesaurus (ScOT)
The Schools Online Thesaurus is a thesaurus for describing the subjects of online curricula content and teaching resources in the Australasian K–12 education sector. ScOT terms enhance subject access to resources relevant to students, teachers and other stakeholders in the school community. Resources designed to satisfy the learning requirements in all major learning areas, as well as the area of teaching and education itself, can be described with ScOT terms.

Subjects of New Zealand (SONZ)
The Subjects of New Zealand (SONZ) thesaurus for NZ Government resources is used to describe government information, services and other resources in a consistent manner.

VOCED
VOCED ontains over 3000 terms related to VET, especially in the areas of research and policy. It is a valuable source of controlled terms for use as metadata, as well as enabling greater precision in VOCED indexing and searching.
