Document Supply

How to Request Articles and Documents

Photocopies of journal articles, conference papers and chapters of books indexed in the Australian Education Index can be obtained directly from the Library provided that:

• Only one copy is requested
• Another copy has not been obtained from another source
• Only one article from a journal issue is requested (unless for the same research or the same course of study)
• If a chapter from a book, only one chapter or 10% or the work is requested
• The copy is required only for research or study.

Books and reports can be requested for loan from the Cunningham Library by libraries through the interlibrary loan process.

Theses from universities and colleges are not available and should be requested from the awarding institution.

Conditions of service

1. Use a separate form for each request
2. Cunningham Library will make reasonable efforts to supply the requested work but cannot guarantee that it can supply the document requested. If the document cannot be supplied you will be notified without delay. You will not be charged for documents not supplied.
3. Cunningham Library does not provide a guaranteed delivery time. However reasonable efforts will be made to send the documents as soon as possible. Time will vary from 2 days to up to 14 days.
4. Please provide as much information as possible to expedite your request. "Source of information" field must be filled in. Requests for which full details have not been provided will not be accepted.
5. The copyright declaration must be completed. If a copyright declaration is not signed, the request will not be supplied.

Pricing

Copies of articles and papers are supplied for a flat rate by electronic mail (where possible) or standard mail. Additional charge for other types of delivery.

Document charge: $AU 22.00 (including GST - Australia only*)

Delivery charges (including GST)

• Electronic Mail (where possible): no additional charge
• Standard Mail: no additional charge
• Fax delivery to anywhere in Australia add $ AU 3.30 for each set of 10 pages or part thereof
• Express Post delivery to anywhere in Australia add $AU 6.60
• International Fax add $AU 6.00 for each set of 10 pages or part thereof

*Overseas price $AU 20.00

Libraries

Libraries may order using any standard ILL form or requesting system (including LADD, fax or email). Note: We no longer use or accept ALIA vouchers.

Researchers or Individuals

Please complete an order form for each request. Requests may be submitted to the Cunningham Library by mail or fax to the address below. Payment can be made by cheque or credit card. The request must comply with the fair dealing and library provision of the Australian Copyright Act, 1968.

All requests must include complete bibliographic information. Where possible please also include the AEI number on the request form.
