Members’ Portal

Welcome ACER Cunningham Library Member. You have been given a username and password to allow you to login to the Athens portal and access Members AEI Database, the Australasian Education Directory, EJS-Electronic Journal Service from Cunningham Library. Athens portal also allows library members to access the library catalogue and other databases as well as request items from the library.

Databases

As a library member you can access the databases below via the Athens Portal: Login to MyAthens. To avoid potential problems, please use Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox as your browser when you login to Athens.

Australasian Education Directory (AED)
AED is the comprehensive directory of organisations and personnel in Australian and New Zealand education. It contains information relating to national bodies, government and non governmental authorities, higher and vocational education institutions and professional associations. Available online and in print (the online version is updated continually).

Australian Education Index (AEI)
Members AEI Database includes the most recent three years of the Australian Education Index (AEI); AEI records for documents freely available online; AEI records for journal articles that can be purchased online and details of 1800 Australian educational research theses. It has over 40 000 records in total. Documents are variously available for free download (over 22 000), online purchase (over 15 000), or Members can request delivery of most print-only documents via the database.

Ebscohost Electronic Journal Service (EJS)
EJS provides full text online access to selected journals from Cunningham Library. It is a full-featured, comprehensive gateway to electronic journals. You can browse, search for specific journal articles, mark items (journals, issues or articles), create alerts, save searches and tailor your own homepage.

Link directly to the library catalogue to search for items to support your professional reading. Use the email facility on this page to borrow or copy (this link is for members only)

Library Requests

Library Members can email requests for the supply of items directly from within the Library Catalogue and the Members AEI Database. A copyright declaration will then be requested to support any copy requests.
