This interactive presentation is aimed at looking at the ongoing development of an online core skills assessment tool and how it has been enhanced, structured and implemented in a range of different types of RTOs across Australia. This will include a discussion on why such a tool is essential in the 21st century, and what the implementation issues and challenges are when working with such a tool in different types of RTOs – from small private RTOs through to large dual-sector TAFE institutions. A presentation on what the future might look like will be incorporated where a number o f different refinements, uses and extensions of online assessments will be presented and discussed.
