Workshop 6, 1.30 – 4.30pm

This hands-on workshop is aimed at developing an understanding of the core skill of numeracy as outlined in the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) and how numeracy skill gaps can impact in the delivery of VET courses. The session will also consider the range of assessment tools available for collecting LLN evidence including for formative assessment purposes, and some practical suggestions on delivery and assessment strategies that take account of a learner's numeracy skills.

Note: if you do not know very much about the ACSF we recommend you attend one of Philippa's introductory ACSF sessions at the conference, as this session will focus on other aspects of LLN assessment and delivery.
