PROFESSIONAL LEARNING

Customised Professional Learning

As effective teachers know, good teaching and learning relies on knowledge of the learners, their learning needs and the context of their learning. Content and delivery methods can then be customised to meet the specific needs of the learners and conditions of the learning environment. When teachers are learners the same principles apply.

Professional Learning programs for teachers are at their most effective when they are customised, to meet the identified needs of teachers, are embedded in classroom practice and delivered in the school.

Customised Professional Learning allows schools to determine the content, the style and the pace of learning support that is most appropriate for their teacher group.

Customised Professional Learning is individual and responsive to specific school's needs.

Customised Professional Learning is delivered in the school and has observable relevance to teachers and the contexts in which they teach.
