Analysis of Data from Large Scale Surveys Workshop

22-24 July 2008
Melbourne Australia

Presenter: Wolfram Schulz

Overview: The workshop will include presentations of the conceptual background in the analysis of large-scale survey data. A special SPSS module for the estimation of sampling and measurement variance from large-scale survey data will be provided at the beginning of the workshop. Participants need to bring their own laptops with EXCEL and SPSS (minimum version 13). Example data from international studies like PISA, TIMSS, PIRLS and CIVED may be used, but the same types of analyses may be applied to data from regional or national assessments. The aim is to enable participants to undertake their own analyses of large-scale survey data by replicating tables published in reports on different international assessments.
