What does PsychProfiler screen for?
The Adult PsychProfiler (APP) has two screening forms (observer and self) that each take 25 minutes to complete and screen for 23 common psychiatric and psychological disorders.
The Child and Adolescent PsychProfiler (CAPP) has three screening forms (Parent, Self and Teacher) that each take 15 minutes to complete and screen for 20 common psychiatric and psychological disorders.
Oriented to the DSM-IV-TR, PsychProfiler provides an accessible, affordable screener that can be used in the early identification of:
- Anxiety disorders – Generalised anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, separation anxiety disorder, specific phobia.
- Attention-deficit and disruptive behaviour disorders – Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder
- Communication disorders – Expressive language disorder, mixed receptive-express language disorder, phonological disorder
- Depressive disorders – Dysthymic disorder, major depressive disorder
- Eating disorders – Anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa
- Learning disorders – Disorder of written expression, mathematics disorder, reading disorder
- Personality disorders – Antisocial personality disorder
- Pervasive developmental disorders – Asperger’s disorder, autistic disorder
- Tic disorders – Motor and vocal tic disorder, Tourette’s disorder
