Student Aptitude Test for Tertiary Admission (SATTA)

Description:

The Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) funded ACER to pilot a Student Aptitude Test for Tertiary Admission (SATTA). The national pilot included an evaluation of the criterion (concurrent and predictive) validity of uniTEST and the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT). The evaluation determined the relationship between uniTEST and other measures used to admit students into university study, examined the capacity for uniTEST and STAT to operate as effective selection mechanisms, incorporated a review of international practice, and demonstrated the value added by uniTEST and STAT to admissions procedures in Australian higher education.
