The Progressive General Ability Test (PGAT) will be a revised and expanded version of the current Middle Years Ability Test (MYAT) and published by ACER Press. PGAT will consist of nine tests targeting Years 2 to 10. Each test will have three components: verbal reasoning; non-verbal reasoning; and mathematical reasoning. Some items from the current Aptitude Profile Test Series (APTS) will be adapted for use in the upper levels of PGAT. Normative data will be collected at the end of 2007. Revised manuals with a new PGAT scale plus percentile rank and stanine tables will be published in 2008.
