ACT Scaling Test ( AST)

Description:

The multiple-choice, short answer and writing components of the Australian Scaling Test are used by the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies to assist in the production of tertiary entrance scores.  The multiple-choice test contains two components, one that addresses major cross-curricular skills relevant to Humanities and Social Science and one that addresses major cross-curricular skills relevant to Science and Mathematics.  Each of these components contains 50 items. The short answer test has about 20 questions to be answered in 105 minutes. About 3500 Year 12 students in the ACT sit the test annually.
