ACER, together with the New Zealand Council for Educational Research (NZCER) and Fronde (an experienced ICT company) were awarded the contract let by the Tertiary Education Commission in New Zealand to develop an assessment tool for adult literacy and numeracy. ACER’s role in the project was to undertake the item development and psychometric components of the work, which are tailored specifically to the cultural, social and work contexts of New Zealand adult learners.
