MindMatters Plus is a national initiative that aims to increase schools’ capacity to meet the needs of students with high support needs, who are at risk of developing mental health problems.
In 2003, ACER, as part of an evaluation of the program, documented the overall impact on MindMatters Plus in schools and communities. The focus of the evaluation was on whole school change in school settings. An action research model was used, with the evaluators contributing to the capacity-building of schools by feeding back information about the data gathering and research findings.
