Investigation of the pathways into and out of the teaching profession

Description:

Using data collected in the 2008 Graduate Pathways Survey (GPS), this research provided a picture of the workforce destinations of teaching graduates over the first five years of their careers. It examined the extent of attrition from the profession and the characteristics of those who do and don’t remain in teaching over this five year period. The research also looked at graduates from other fields that end up in teaching positions in the five years following graduation from a bachelor degree at university.
