The Group of Eight (Go8) universities engaged ACER to facilitate consideration within Australia about the characteristics of an assessment instrument capable of measuring engineering learning outcomes in an internationally comparable way. Outcomes of the Australian deliberations played a formative role in shaping the international assessment used in the AHELO feasibility study.
