A total of 30 test forms were trialed in a stratified random sample of NSW schools involving students from Years, 4, 6 and 8. Each test form was trialed with at least 300 candidates. ACER managed all aspects of liaison with schools, recruiting and training of invigilators and provision of administration instructions. Open Ended and Written tasks were marked and the data entered and cleaned for analysis by the newly established VCAA data analysis team.
