Evaluation of the Aboriginal Literacy Strategy

Description:

The purpose of this evaluation for the WA Department of Education and Training is to; evaluate how initiatives being implemented under the ALS literacy strategy are contributing to achieving improved English language and literacy outcomes for Aboriginal children; evaluate whether there are any factors that currently inhibit the effectiveness of the strategy implementation; including the daily explicit teaching of English language and literacy skills and understandings; and; make recommendations for improving the effectiveness of strategy in order to achieve the desired English language and literacy outcomes.
