Research on performance pay for teachers

The overall aim of this project was to gain insights into the attitudes of teachers and school-leaders and other stakeholders to performance-pay for teachers.

Deliverables: A final report that will:
- provide an overview of current pay arrangements for teachers in Australian schools
- identify differentiation in arrangements between jurisdictions
- provide an overview of recent (since 2000) Australian and international research on the attitudes of stakeholders to performance-based pay for teachers
- provide an overview of recent international research on the impact of the introduction of performance-based pay schemes for teachers
- identify the gaps in the Australian and International evidence base on the issues above
