ACER's Centre for Professional Learning will offer over 130 workshops in 2007. Topics will be presented under the categories of Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS), Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Thinking Curriculum, Using Assessment Data, Curriculum Development, Languages other than English, Student Wellbeing and Behaviour Guidance, Leadership and Team work, Professional Learning in the South Western District of Victoria, Friendly Schools and Families, ACER Mini Conferences and ACER Leadership Centre.

Education Consultants

ACER Education Consultant services to schools:

  • Advice on effective use of ACER resources via telephone and email
  • Resource displays – at conferences, network meetings, cluster meetings and schools
  • Presentations on features and benefits of ACER resources at: Leadership meetings, Staff meetings, Network and cluster meetings, Conferences
  • Liaison with prospective authors to facilitate publication of educational assessments and books
  • Friendly Schools & Families® training

Qualification Requirements

ACER tests are professionally developed assessment instruments that require specialised training to ensure their appropriate, ethical use. Eligibility to purchase these tests, therefore, is restricted to individuals with specific training and experience in a relevant area of assessment. See Qualifications for more information.

Test Scoring Services

ACER’s Test Scoring Services is able to support schools by scoring assessments and questionnaires.
The service also provides schools with a wide range of quality reports. These reports enable schools to compare their students’ scores to both state and national norms. Detailed diagnostic reports are also available.
