Ms Barbara Smith

 Ms Barbara Smith was appointed Schools Program Manager in July 2011.  Key projects under Ms Smith’s administration include selection testing (including ACER scholarships), online assessment, International Student Assessment (ISA), International Benchmark Tests (IBT) and Assessment of Language Competence (ALC). 

Prior to her appointment to the position of Schools Program Manager, Ms Smith was National Sales Manager for ACER Press where she was responsible for managing an expert team of education, psychology and human resources consultants.  This role also included providing advice and professional development on education assessment tools and resources. Working closely with teachers in schools over a 10 year period with ACER Press, and more recently with Assessment Services has provided Ms Smith with a sound understanding of the services and resources ACER needs to develop to support teaching and learning.

She has a background in Business, Marketing, Secondary and Tertiary Education.
