Ms Gebhardt is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). She has worked at ACER since 2002 and her current research interests include developing the connections between item response modelling and structural equation modelling. Ms Gebhardt has extensive experience in data analysis and data management. She has been involved in scaling and analysing data from the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2003 and 2006, and for PISA 2009 she has managed the scaling and analysis of cognitive data from paper-based and computer-based testing modes.
Ms Gebhardt has also been active in the development of context questionnaires, and in the development of procedures for data management, data cleaning and analysis. She has been responsible for developing macros and an SPSS add-in to compute standard errors using replication methods for the OECD’s PISA Data Analysis Manual and for giving extensive training workshops to members of National Centres. In addition, she gave a workshop on Multi-level modelling at the PISA research conference in Kiel, Germany in 2009.
She has been involved in the data analysis of several other projects. In 2004 she conducted the psychometric and statistical analysis for the national Civics and Citizenship project, under supervision, and supervised the analysis in 2007/2008 as well as part of the analysis for the national ICT literacy project in 2009 . In 2007 she was project director of the re-analysis of the national project PSAP 2003.
