Mr Lance Deveson is the Library & Information Manager at the Australian Council for Educational Research.

Mr Deveson leads the Cunningham Library team delivering library services to ACER staff and external members as well as developing products such Australian Education Index, AEI and the Australasian Education Directory, AED and the Records Management team ensuring the corporate memory of ACER is recorded and made available to staff. The Library and Information group has a strong focus on increasing the range of products and services available to both ACER staff and external clients.

Mr Deveson is an experienced teacher, teacher-librarian, library consultant, library and records manager, and has extensive experience in managing special libraries of both an educational and general focus. His interests lie in library automation, data management, knowledge and records management. His work has enabled him to focus on developing online delivery of bibliographic data for school libraries in Australia and New Zealand as well as developing a national records management service for CSIRO.
