Maxine has a Bachelor of Education majoring in Early Childhood Education. She began teaching with the Education Department of Western Australia in the 1980s and has for the last 10 years been a senior teacher at a Catholic Primary School, teaching both middle and upper year levels.

Maxine has been the RAISe First Wave coordinator in Literacy for her school’s senior year levels for three years and has experience working with Monitoring Standards in Education (WA Department of Education and Training) marking WALNA/NAPLAN.
