Paul Weldon joined ACER in January 2010. For the three years prior to this he was Research Associate at Independent Schools Victoria.
Dr Weldon has had a diverse career in Australia, the UK and in China, where he worked for two years as English Language Editor for the Journal of China University of Geosciences, as well as teaching English to graduates.
Dr Weldon completed his PhD in sociolinguistics in 2007 and during his time at Independent Schools Victoria has worked on research projects in the fields of Social Capital, Education for Sustainability, School-Community Partnerships, Cybersafety, and on the development of school performance measures. He has published several reports and articles and he has also been a member of the ACMA Cybersafety Consultative Group and a representative for ISCA on the LSAY Strategic Advisory Committee.
