Ms Terri Cornish is the New South Wales Education Consultant at the Australian Council of Educational Research.

Ms Cornish’s main responsibility is to expand the profile of ACER in all levels of the education sector, which she does through regular and ongoing contact with customers in NSW, ACT and the Northern Territory.

She liaises closely with schools to identify their needs in relation to teaching resources and assessments to help improve teaching and learning. This process informs the ACER Publishing program to ensure that assessments and books published meet the needs of teachers. She has conducted many presentations related to implementation of assessment and programs at school level, regional meetings and to university students.

Prior to joining ACER in 2004, Ms Cornish’s professional experience included worked for the Australian Publishers Association and the Children’s Book Council, has managed two children’s bookshops, and was the National Sales Manager of a large school library supply company.
