Dr Tim Friedman joined ACER in 2007, and works as a Research Fellow within the International Surveys program.
Tim has worked on several international projects for both the International Association for the Evaluation of Education Achievement (IEA) and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in a range of roles, from instrument development and field operations to data analysis and report writing. Tim has also been largely involved in national projects within the Higher Education program at ACER, including studies establishing the criterion validity of the Graduate Australian Medical School Admission Test (GAMSAT), UNITEST, Special Tertiary Admission Test (STAT) and Undergraduate Medicine and Health Sciences Test (UMAT), as well as evaluations for the Catholic Education Commission of Victoria (CECV), and Microsoft Partners in Learning Connected Learning Schools project.
In 2011, Tim was awarded a PhD in Psychology at Monash University for his investigation into the detection subtle deficits in cognitive decline, using a novel computer based test of cognitive function.
