Dr Yu Zhao is a Research Fellow in the Teaching, Learning and Transitions research program at the Australian Council for Educational Research. She received her PhD from the University of Melbourne and Masters degree in Educational Psychology, Psychology, and Sociology from the University of Munich.
After joining ACER, Dr Zhao worked on the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) in field operation and sampling. She is currently involved in the Assessment of Higher Education Learning Outcomes (AHELO) Feasibility Study for the OECD. She has experience in conducting large scale data analyses and survey-based research for schools, universities and industry. Dr Zhao has a particular interest in seeing the result of educational research being implemented through policy.
