Mr Phillip Arthur

Manager, System Testing

Mr Phillip ArthurPhillip Arthur joined ACER as Manager of System Testing in 2004. He has held management roles with education departments in New South Wales, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory and South Australia.

Mr Arthur established and managed the Centre for Teaching and Learning in the ACT Department of Education and Training. As Group Manager of the Learning Technologies Projects Section in the Victorian Department of Education he had responsibility for a range of projects that focused on enhancing student learning using learning technologies.

Mr Arthur coordinated the establishment of the Open Learning Technology Corporation (now education.au Limited), and subsequently was Operations Manager of that company. He has worked in industry and has undertaken consultancies in distance education, teacher professional development, and the educational use of technologies at State, national and international levels.

Mr Arthur taught science and physics for twelve years in schools in South Australia, Victoria and New Zealand, and was the Curriculum Project Officer: Science (Physics and Geology) in the South Australian education department. He is completing a Master of Education (Leadership and Management).
