Dr David Curtis

Dr David Curtis is a Senior Research Fellow in the Transitions and Post-School Education and Training research program at the Australian Council for Educational Research.

He works in the Post-compulsory Education and Training division of ACER on the Longitudinal Surveys of Australian Youth (LSAY) program and is particularly interested in vocational education and training pathways for young people. Through collaboration with colleagues in universities, he maintains an active interest in applied educational research. Dr Curtis has also worked as a consultant on local, state, and national education projects.

Prior to joining ACER in April 2005, Dr Curtis worked in the higher education sector in Australia for 20 years, teaching science and ICT in education, and working in academic professional learning. He has research interests in assessment and measurement, generic employability skills, lifelong learning, and distance and flexible learning.
