Mr Wayne Dawes

Mr Wayne Dawes is the Director of Corporate Services and the Company Secretary of the Australian Council for Educational Research.
He is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants. He is also an associate member of Chartered Secretaries Australia. He has over 25 years of solid financial, management and cost accounting experience. Mr Dawes has been with ACER for fourteen years and has total responsibility for the Corporate Services Division. He has full responsibility for the financial management, financial reporting, costing, accounting services and company secretarial duties of ACER. In additional, he is responsible for ACER's information technology unit, assets and facilities management, corporate communications and project services.
ACER has offices and a wide range of clients overseas. Mr Dawes is responsible for the financial management of all international transactions. During his career, Mr Dawes has held positions as Company Director and Financial Controller of several large and highly commercial organisations. In addition to his accounting and finance skills he has very broad general business knowledge and experience.
