Ms Tracey Frigo

Ms Frigo is a Research Fellow in the Learning Processes research program at the Australian Council for Educational Research.
Ms Frigo's main role has been in the coordination of ACER's Longitudinal English Literacy and Numeracy Survey for Indigenous Students. She comes from a teaching background and has worked on a range of projects at ACER including large-scale testing programs, equating studies, nationwide surveys of schools, school case studies and focus group research.
A significant part of research program at ACER has been in area of Indigenous education. Ms Frigo has been sole or joint author on a range of publications including the ACER research monograph 'Enhancing English Literacy Skills in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Students', a report to DETYA on the 'School to Work Transition of Indigenous Students' and to NSW Board of Studies on 'Resources and Teaching Strategies to Support Aboriginal Children's Numeracy Learning'.
Other project work has included: research into assessment and reporting of student achievement for Indigenous students and students with special needs, the resourcing of Australian primary schools, and ways in which secondary schools can lay the foundations for lifelong learning.
