Ms Kirsty MacLeod

Ms Kirsty MacLeod is Project Director for the Undergraduate Medicine and Health Sciences Admission Test (UMAT) in Assessment Services at the Australian Council for Educational Research.

She is responsible for overseeing the smooth running, administration and organisation of UMAT, one of a suite of medical entry aptitude tests developed and managed by ACER.

Prior to joining ACER in 2005, she held the position of Coordinator, International Student Support Services in the International Programs Office at La Trobe University for five years. Before that, Ms MacLeod worked in international student support services at the University of Melbourne. Those roles included event management, developing and facilitating staff and student training programs (intercultural communication, transition issues, mental health on campus), student counselling and welfare support, and volunteer management.

Ms MacLeod studied languages (German and Spanish) and economics at university, and completed her Grad Cert in Bus (Proj Mgmt) at Swinburne last year. She is an accredited trainer of the ExcelL sociocultural competency skills program.
