Dr Sean Pywell

Dr Sean Pywell is a Research Fellow in Assessment and Reporting program at the Australian Council for Educational Research.

He develops tests of general reasoning, framed in science contexts, for a range of assessment purposes.

While completing his studies in Zoology and education, Dr Pywell worked in publishing, first at the Royal Australian Ornithologists Union as a research editor, then as a managing editor at Lonely Planet Publications, where he oversaw the development and implementation of a new series of travel guides.

He subsequently taught secondary science and maths before joining ACER in 2003.
