Mr Greg Reid

Mr Greg Reid is a Research Fellow in the Assessment and Reporting research program at the Australian Council for Educational Research.
Mr Reid's main responsibilities reside in the area of literacy test development. His extensive writing and editing skills and diverse teaching experience bring a unique perspective to his work. He has worked on a number of projects including the online testing program iAchieve, the international testing programs Global Achieve (UAE and India) and MIA (Italy). He has also been involved in several external projects including the Western Australian Education Department’s Monitoring Standards in Education program (Literacy) for 2004 and 2005, the South Australian Education Department’s Literacy testing program for 2005, 2006 and 2007, and the VCAA testing program for 2007.
After graduating with a BEd/BA honours degree, Mr Reid taught at secondary schools in Australia and the UK. He also trained as a TEFL teacher in London and taught at an International House school in Spain. He has more than 11 years teaching experience across a variety of curriculum areas, including English, Geography, History and Science. He has had more than 30 books published for the Australian primary and secondary education market in the areas of Geography and environmental education, and has won several national awards. Mr Reid joined ACER in 2004.
