Ms Shane Thompson

Ms Shane Thompson is the Perth-based Sales Consultant - Education at the Australian Council for Educational Research.
Ms Thompson oversees the running of ACER's Perth office, which opened in February 2007. She is responsible for providing advice and consultation to schools on ACER tests and resources to meet their individual needs. In 1992, she began Unicom Education, a publishing and distribution company which joined ACER in 2007 as an independent brand. Ms Thompson also continues to manage Unicom's portfolio, which boasts Australia's most diverse range of special needs resources.
She has a wide range of primary and middle school teaching experience in both government and non-government schools in New South Wales, Victoria and West Australia as well as international teaching experience in Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. This included specific teaching roles in ESL and with children with learning difficulties/differences. She is also an accredited tutor with the Dyslexia - Speld Foundation WA (Inc).
