The Australian Council for Educational Research and the NSW Department of Education and Training have combined to provide all teachers a training program for the NAPLAN writing task.
The program uses multi-media training materials to enable teachers to become familiar with the philosophy underpinning the assessment of writing for NAPLAN. The training package allows teachers to participate in self-paced learning and to engage in an online environment where they can practise marking and receive immediate online feedback.
When training is complete, teachers can also undertake an online certification exercise. If the level of consistency achieved satisfies the nationally agreed protocols for marking, a Certificate of Achievement will be provided.
Cost: $250 per school (+GST) which enables 5 log-ins for the online training and Certification exercise
$40 per additional teacher (+GST)
