Teaching Learning and Leadership
Australian School Teacher and Leader Survey ("Staff in Australia 's Schools")
Project Director: Dr Phillip McKenzie
This project was conducted jointly by ACER and the Australian College of Educators. The Staff in Australia’s Schools (SiAS) survey addressed key gaps in the data available to characterise the teacher and school leader workforces, and to help identify future workforce needs. A second component of the project involved consultations with key stakeholders around Australia on data needs and strategies for more long-term planning approaches.
Staff: Phillip McKenzie, Lawrence Ingvarson, Andrew Jackson, Siek Toon Khoo, Julie Kos, Susanne Owen, Maurice Walker and Jenny Wilkinson.
Funding: Commonwealth Department of Education, Science and Training
