In its 20 December communiqué NSSC announced its decision to cease compulsory reporting against the Learner Engagement and Employer Satisfaction Quality Indicators through the SMART system. RTOs are still required to collect, analyse and report against the Quality Indicators and report to their regulator by June 30, 2012.
As part of this decision ACER is no longer funded to provide a national help desk and the service will cease on 31 December 2011. RTOs should contact their registering body directly with any queries regarding reporting requirements.
ACER remains committed—more so than ever—to working with RTOs and industry to support continuous improvement and assist with external reporting obligations.
ACER continues to operate its AQTF Quality Benchmarking (AQB) service. RTOs joining the service can produce baseline reports, or access additional national and like-RTO benchmark reports.
To help RTOs with June 2012 reports, ACER will reduce the AQB licence fee from $1,800 to $695 (large RTOs) or $295 (small/medium RTOs) from now until 1 March 2012.
We encourage you to contact our AQTF support staff at aqis@acer.edu.au for more information about how ACER can continue to support your organisation fulfill its reporting requirements.
If you have any other queries concerning your continuing compliance requirements, please contact your registering body directly.
We wish you all the best for the festive season.
