Business Select tests skills in three key areas:
Problem Solving: skills are assessed by measuring their ability to use comprehension, analysis and synthesis to assimilate and evaluate viewpoints and arguments.
Critical Thinking: skills are assessed by measuring their ability to analyse and transform information as a basis for making decisions and solving practical problems.
Interpersonal Understandings: the ability to display insight into the feelings, motivation and behaviour of other people and the capability to work with others, give feedback, listen, communicate and lead.
Candidates do not require specific curriculum knowledge to sit the Business Select test.
The test has 83 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 2 hours. Units from the three components being tested are mixed in a random way throughout the test.
